Design Supply and installation of state-of-the-art anaerobic reactor testing unit for University of Jaffna

Supply of 165 units of 1m3 Bio Reactors to farmers in Northwestern Province through the Provincial department of Agriculture during 2022-23. The total value of the reactors distributed was LKR 12 million

Semi High rate system with Heating elements , first of this kind in Sri Lanka ( 2017), 70m3 plant at Jetwing Blue to treat 600 Kg of food waste per day. The system comprises of PH and temperature measurement devices as well as mechanical powered agitators.

The contract to helawagaa was awarded through Janathakshan ( GTE)Ltd

70 m3 Anaerobic Bio reactors to treat 600kg of food waste daily are constructed at hotels in Jetwing Chain – Dambulla, Yala, Kaduruketha

( between – 2019 – 2023) each system cost approx. – LKR 4.5 million

A 2 tons per day food feeding bio reactor constructed at Habaraduwa PS, the bio gas is connected to the crematorium supplying auxiliary gas for cremations, only 2 of this kind units exist in Sri Lanka. The system is connected with pressure gauges and release valves for safety

The unit was designed and constructed by Hela Wagaa through Janathakshan the Value is LKR 5.8 million. (2021)

300 KG food waste input bio reactor, constructed at Cinnamon Citadel, supplying gas to staff kitchen heating requirements. Flow meters and control filtering systems are connected as the guest rooms are within 10 meters of the system. A unique design where a waste management system is constructed right within the premises where guests of the hotel are walking. ( 2015)

A large scale 7 tons per day MSW feeding bio reactor constructed in Kaduwela MC, a 40kW generator is operated from biogas and the system is grid connected under net metering system

The unit was designed and constructed by Hela Wagaa through Janathakshan the project was funded by UNDP Sri Lanka. Value LKR 25 Million. ( 2021)

600 KG degradable MSW waste input bio reactor, constructed at Kuliyapitiya Pradeshiya Sabha (2017), Supplying gas to staff kitchen and a 5 kW generator. The system is used for research purposes by university of Wayamba agriculture faculty. Winner of Green Energy Champion award in 2019 given by GIZ Sri Lanka

Helwagaa provided design and construction services in collaboration with Eco Tech Base and Janathakshan.

Helawagaa & Eco Tech Base designed and constructed a 30 m3 Anaerobic digester with all controlling and measuring devices complying to international safety standards required in a factory for Unilever factory at BoI zone Hanwella. ( 2017).

Waste Water

We design and built waste water treatment plants of different types ( full natural treatment and mixed with aeration & chemical treatment)

Palmyrah House Mannar :
6 units of decentralized anaerobic treatment units, treated water used for irrigation in the garden

RITZ garments Alawaka/ Magallegama/ Polipithigama :
12000 L per day of sewer treatment plants in All 3 factories with various designs to suit the land availability and disposal requirement ( anaerobic digesters, constructed wetlands & aeration)

Jetwing Dambulla:
200,000 L per day of wastewater treated using mix of anaerobic digestion, aeration and micro-bacterial treatment in (Partnership with EcoTechBase).
